Program Description

For teens in grades 6-12. Meets monthly on the 4th Thursday of the month during the school year (3rd Thursday in November and December). No registration.

At each meeting of the POV (Point of View) Teen Book Club, teen readers will discuss books that capture different points of view, such as books written by authors who are queer, trans, Black, Indigenous, Latinx, and many more identities that serve as windows and mirrors to the readers. In addition to book discussions, there will be snacks and an activity or craft.

There will be suggested reading but no books will be required. This un-book club is an opportunity for teen readers to talk about a variety of books that are interesting to them and should not feel like an assignment.

October suggested books: The Alice Oseman universe (like Heartstopper)
