Are you concerned about the amount of time your child is spending on technology? Are you worried the amount of face to face social interactions and play time has dwindled? Are you wondering what other caregivers are doing to help curb the technology chaos?

In The Anxious Generation, social psychologist Jonathan Haidt lays out the facts about the epidemic of teen mental illness that hit many countries at the same time. He investigates the nature of childhood, including why children need play and independent exploration to mature into competent, thriving adults. Haidt presents more than a dozen mechanisms by which this “great rewiring of childhood” has interfered with children’s social and neurological development.

Join us in addressing these challenges, understanding the traps we have fallen into, so we can see the escape routes. The book is designed to facilitate discussion among friends, family, book clubs, educators, and communities, in order to change norms and reclaim human life for all generations.
