Program Description

To kick off and celebrate Bat Week (Oct 24-31, 2025), join us for a presentation about bats! Come to learn about Wisconsin’s eight bat species and why they’re important. We will explore the basics, such as where bats live, what they eat, and what threats they face today. We will listen and learn to identify bats by their calls, and you will go home with some tangible ways that you can help advocate for and protect this amazing animal!

About the Speaker
Julie Kisely is a volunteer Bat Ambassador with the Wisconsin Bat Program. Julie has loved bats since growing up caving in Missouri and is thrilled to share her knowledge and passion for these incredible creatures.
