Thank you for another great Expo! Hope to see you in August 2026!
The LEGO Creations Expo is OPEN for the public to view creations on August 14 from 2 pm to 6 pm in the Community Room. We are hosting a Special Reception for creators from 5 pm to 6 pm.
In the Children's Area, there will be fun LEGO related activities.
The Expo is a chance to celebrate creativity! LEGO builders of all ages are welcome to submit a creation to be judged and shown at the Expo. If you are interested in submitting a creation, please read the contest rules and guidelines below.
How Does the Contest Work?
Participants bring their spectacular LEGO creations from home and have a chance to win prizes! All participants will receive a bag of LEGO brick candy!
Top Prize will be awarded in each of these five categories: Grades K-1, Grades 2-3, Grades 4-6, Teen/Adult, Team/Family. Winners in each category receive a gift card to Bricks & Minifigs store.

Registration closed.
Timeline of Events
- Monday, July 1st: Registration opens.
- Tuesday, August 12th: Registration closes at 8 pm.
- Wednesday, August 13th: Drop off creations from noon to 8 pm.
- If you need to drop off prior to this time, please contact Kelly at oreyouth@oregonlibrary.org
- You can drop off a creation on Thursday but it will not be eligible for official judging. Creators still get treats!
- Thursday, August 14:
- Morning will be closed judging.
- Open for Public Viewing from 2-6 pm.
- Special Reception at 5 pm for all participants! We'll have snacks and refreshments for everyone.
- Friday, August 16: Pick up creations from 9 am to 6 pm.
- You can arrange a later time to pick up if Friday does not work.
Guidelines and Rules
- Use your own LEGO or similar type plastic brick. Please talk to Kelly if you do not have your own LEGOS.
- Your creation must be an original. Creations made exactly from a kit will not be up for prizes. You can use parts from kits but your creation must not look like the picture on the box.
- You can register a creation in your own age category and another creation in the Team/Family category.
- Creations must be...
- Portable and come with a box. Library staff might need tov move your creation without it falling apart. It must be STURDY!
- No bigger than 2 ft. by 2 ft. wide and 2 ft. tall.
- Each creation should have a title and a description. You can tell a story in lieu of a description. Each creation will have a table tent.
- Drop-off and Pick Up of Your Creation:
- Expo is being held in the Community Room at the Oregon Public Library. You will drop-off and pick-up there.

- Judging Criteria:
- Creativity and originality (40%): Clever and unusual usage of the bricks.
- Presentation (25%): How well the creation is setup to tell a story and matches the description.
- Building skill based on age of entry (25%), and following contest rules (10%).
- Top Prize of $10 gift card from Bricks & Minifigs store is awarded in each of these five categories: Grades K-1, Grades 2-3, Grades 4-6, Teen/Adult, Team/Family ($20 gift card).
- All participants receive a bag of LEGO brick candy!
